Debian “bullseye” Release Information
Debian 11.10 was released on June 29th, 2024. Debian 11.0 was initially released on August 14th, 2021. The release included many major changes, described in our press release and the Release Notes.
Debian 11 has been superseded by
Debian 12 (bookworm
).
The Debian 11 life cycle encompasses five years: the initial three years of full Debian support, until August 14th, 2024, and two years of Long Term Support (LTS), until August 31st, 2026. The set of supported architectures is limited during the Bullseye LTS term to i386, amd64, armhf and arm64. Computer architectures supported at initial release of bullseye:
- 64-bit PC (amd64)
- 64-bit ARM (AArch64)
- EABI ARM (armel)
- Hard Float ABI ARM (armhf)
- 32-bit PC (i386)
- MIPS (little endian)
- 64-bit MIPS (little endian)
- POWER Processors
- IBM System z
Contrary to our wishes, there may be some problems that exist in the release, even though it is declared stable. We've made a list of the major known problems, and you can always report other issues to us.
